After School Child Care

After School Child Care is provided at each of our school sites by the following organizations:

Cool School

COOL School is an after-school program providing a safe learning environment that enriches the lives of students. Since 1998, the COOL School After School program has been serving youth in Santa Rosa. We operate at seven local elementary schools in the Bellevue Union and Wright school districts. Through a strong partnership with the district and AmeriCorps member support, we are able to provide exemplary After School and summer programming. To learn more about COOL School, please read our program overview.

The program is offered Monday - Friday after school until 6:00pm

Boys and Girls Club (JX Wilson Elementary School Only)

Since 1949, The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Santa Rosa has provided boys and girls with a place to learn, play, develop academic skills, and engage in physical activity. We satisfy the age-old desire of young people to have a "club" of their own. Our club is staffed by full-time and part-time Youth Development Professionals. Additionally, this team of professionals is supplemented by passionate and caring volunteers.

At the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Santa Rosa, we value diversity. We are a place for boys and girls of all races, religions, and cultures. Our programs and activities are conducted in the warm, friendly atmosphere of facilities specially designed for youth programs. The Club is open to all members at any time during hours of operation, and we have an open-door policy. We offer varied and diversified programs that recognize and respond to the collective and individual needs of girls and boys. Our Club is guidance-oriented and emphasizes values inherent in the relationships between young people, their peers, and adults. We help boys and girls make appropriate and satisfying choices.

The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Santa Rosa is open Monday through Friday from 1:30 pm to 5:30pm for the 2023-24 school year. We offer programming in the areas of education & academics, sports, health & life skills, character & leadership, and creative arts. We are open to all K-12 students from all schools.
