Sonoma County: Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA)

The Sonoma County Special Education Local Plan Area is a multidistrict SELPA, the members of which include forty-four school districts and charter schools located within Sonoma County. The Sonoma County Office of Education (SCOE) is the Administrative Unit (AU) for the SELPA, and the SELPA is located in Rohnert Park. The SELPA is governed by the Local Plan, as approved by the Superintendent's Council, whose membership includes school district superintendents representing regions of Sonoma County and a representative of Sonoma County charter schools who act as their own Local Education Agency (LEA) for special education.
