Research shows children are getting their healthiest meals at school. We would like to highlight the nutritious, freshly prepared on-site meals available daily at Wright Elementary School District. This month we will be serving tamales, pulled pork sandwiches, fresh fruit and vegetables, and many more nutritious and inviting meals for our children.

In addition to offering fruits and vegetables at every lunch, WESD ensures that we offer whole grains and milk, and meet federal nutrition standards limiting fat, calories, and sodium. 

The Nutrition Services department is made up of a team of food and nutrition professionals that are dedicated to students' health, well being and their ability to learn. We support learning by promoting healthy habits for lifelong nutrition and fitness practices.

Meals, foods and beverages sold or served at schools meet state and federal requirements which are based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines. We provide students with access to a variety of affordable and appealing foods that meet the health and nutrition needs of students.

Our Purpose
The Food Services Department is dedicated to the overall goal of the Wright Elementary School District, to assure ‘success for all students’. We believe in order to learn a child must first possess good health. We, therefore, provide all students access to a variety of affordable and appealing foods which meet their health and nutritional needs.

The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation.
